Readiness Review

  • You’ll walk through a short, guided conversation about your business, not a multiple‑choice quiz. The chatbot asks up to 13 plain‑English questions about your family, your team, and your eventual exit so it can understand what “ready” really means for you.

After each answer, it reflects back what it heard and asks, “Does that capture what you meant?” so you can confirm or clarify in your own words. That keeps it feeling more like a conversation and less like you’re being processed by a form.

  • Most veteran owners complete the full Readiness Review in about 20 minutes, depending on how much context they choose to share in their answers.

You’ll see where you are at each step (for example, “Question 5 of 13 – Topic: Team & Retention”), so you’re never guessing how much longer it will take. If you need to pause and come back, you can move at your own pace.

  • You can expect practical, plain-English questions about three areas: your family’s financial security, the strength of your team, and how prepared your business is for an eventual step-back or exit. The goal is not to judge you — it’s to understand where pressure, risk, or uncertainty may be building.

For example, you may be asked questions like:

    • “If your business had a significant downturn or you stepped away tomorrow, would your family’s basic living expenses be covered?”

    • “If you took a month off tomorrow, how smoothly would your business run without you?”

    • “Have you thought about what your business might be worth if you sold it?”

    • “When you think about your family, your team, and the future of the business, what’s the one thing that weighs on you most?”

Some questions are practical. Some are more reflective. Together, they help create a clearer picture of where you may be secure, where you may be exposed, and what readiness could look like across all three fronts.

  • When you finish, you’ll receive your Readiness Review - as a PDF - by email which will sum up what you shared in three areas: home/family security, team & retention, and transition/exit readiness.

The Readiness Review highlights where things look solid, where risk is building, and a few practical ideas for next steps you can consider—whether you work with us or not. It’s designed to be something you can read in a few minutes and still see your real situation reflected clearly.

  • At the end of the interview, you’ll see simple options. You can keep the Readiness Review for your own planning, or you can schedule time to walk through it with a fiduciary planner who focuses on veteran‑owned businesses.

There’s no automatic sales call, no surprise subscription, and no obligation to move forward. If you do choose a follow‑up call, it’s to help you understand your Readiness Review and talk through possible paths—not to pressure you into a decision.

  • We ask for your name and email so we can send your Readiness Review after you finish the interview.

Providing your email does not obligate you to work with us.

We respect your privacy and only use your information to deliver your Readiness Review, respond to your request, and support any follow-up you choose.
